Beside a canal in Bristol; a study of old build and new. The steps and quay wall are in good repair but the capstan's timbers are almost all rotted away. As a subtext, this is a study and exploration of the rectangular form; I've tried to frame the scene to capture as many as possible, and cropped a little to give a better relationship between them.
