Enjoy my work, each fine art image lovingly crafted, and take an emotive journey wherever it may lead you...

I’m attracted by tone and texture, pattern and perspective, structure and abstraction. I want to bring you to everyday objects and scenes through my eyes and imagination. The photo out of the camera is only the starting point; I like to think that, in the digital darkroom, I bring out and reveal the powerful black and white image drowned out by the colour in a scene.

What's new...

I've been working on some fine art monochromes of Runnymede and a hotel where I've been staying recently ...read and see more in my blog.

Reviewing my work...

If you have browsed through my images, consider writing a review of my body of work. You might like to express the emotions you felt as you viewed them, the memories they brought back or how they affected your spirits. I really do value your feedback.

This update's featured mono is

..called Barbican Steps I'll let you have a look at it before I have my say...

Barbican Steps barbican-steps.jpg

"towering..." I was intially attracted by these steps towering above me and the fact they seemed to disappear into the sky. ("Stairway To Heaven" or some such for the title, was too obvious a cliché).

"age..." Once it had grabbed my attention, the age of the steps, as told by the wear of countless thousands of pairs of feet on hard granite, gave it interest beyond the overall shapes in the composition.

"journey..." The wonderful curves of the left hand wall and the handrails, and the lovely textures of the limestone enhanced by the bright sunshine, give they eye a journey though the shot and places of interest to rest on.

Next update - "Knot A Rope Knot

..and finally, a big "Thank You"

..to all my patrons and colleagues for your continuing support in my fine art photography - you've given me the impetus to strive even more.
