More poetry - well, a card verse...

I actually did this a couple of days ago but haven't found the time to post about it. Giving you plenty of time to recover from my last verse! Hehe!

Another card verse

I wanted to do some Thinking Of You cards for my Zazzle store. Again I had to write a short verse for the sentiment. What do you think, is it up to scratch?
It's been too long since last we met
Since strolling where
our feet would lead
And chatting all the while

So, friend of mine, here's hoping soon
Our paths again will cross, and
Once again we'll chew the cud
Until the time to part

So, what do you think of my little ditty? I'd love to get some feedback...

comments / critique / feedback always welcome :)

Since I'm in the throes of fungi lecture revision (I suppose at this late hour it's become *cramming*) I can't spend the time I'd like to on this:

I love the first line - I'd follow it with an "and...(+lines to show how time has passed)".

I like all the second stanza - maybe replace the "and" in the second line with a semi colon?

I'll probably get back to you tomorrow evening :)

A poet too.. Great words.
Just got home from an interstate train trip and so wacked... the ground is moving from long hours on a train.

Nice Christmas card and great words.
You are really getting into this Zazzle thing. :D

I'll be back when I have had some sleep.

@Kitty: Good luck with your fungi! Keep me posted with your thoughts, it's all quite new to me :)

@Dors: Cheers for that. I know what you mean about the ground moving... As for Zazzle, it seems like a great thing for visual artists and I'm doing my marketing/pr to get my stuff "out there" for now.
Sleep well :)

Hi, I'm just really enjoying your site. You asked for feedback on the verse. I think it's really wonderful overall. I would replace the words 'chew the cud' with 'shoot the breeze'..it seems to fit more as an airy theme. But that's just me...:) Maria
