Respect Festival - only shot so far...

I just couldn't get inspired enough to fight for space amongst the other photographers at the Respect Festival earlier today (well, yesterday now)—but I did get this shot.

An abstract name?

...for a semi-abstract shot.

Poocher Assere

No prizes for guessing what it is (did it take you long or was it instant for you?) but do you fancy explaining the title? Just for fun, leave a comment if you think you know—and leave a comment admitting defeat if you don't! Now, you will be honest, won't you... ;)

Whatever you think about the title, how does the image grab you? Or doesn't it?

(@ Martin Bush - what do you think? Note the cunning way I put your name there so you'd get this as a Google Alert!!)

comments / critique / feedback always welcome and actively encouraged :)

It looks like a bench shot from the top down toward the pavement stones.

It is most interesting view of this if that is what it is. LOL

Good morning Mark,
to be honest do not know either title or image, yet provides many thoughts.

About the festival, was it to take a picture about 'respect'?

A wonderful week for you.

Mark...the shot does grab me! I really like it. I had a thought about what it might be but since I have read the guesses about an upside down bench...I think that is what it is. My first guess was an abstract monument rising from the center of a plaza and shot from above!!

Mark...as I clicked away from your blog...it hit me...now the title makes perfect sense! I am a bit slow! I don't know which is more creative...the picture of the title!

Thanks everyone for taking part - Mark Alan Meader was the first to get it completely.

So for the record, it's a bench, taken from above, standing on some ornate paving, rotated 180 degrees. And the title is... "Put Your Ass Here"!

@Robert: The annual Respect Festival is all about celebrating the diversity of our culture here in Plymouth (UK). Follow the links in the posting to find out more.

Thanks again all for taking part in this bit of fun :)

Put my ass there??? I couldn`t - the paving stones makes me dizzy, so I would fall out even if it wasn`t up side down :)

Cool photo, and I always love mysteries.

Thanks alot for your kind comment and tips. You wasn`t supposed to notice that, lol... I was to lazy to fix it after finishing the editing. It would have been right to put the vignette on after using the filter... I have never worked with layers before. I sure would like to learn, but nowadays my head is to occupied with other studies. I am looking forward to have more time for my photo-hobby :) Then I know where to go to ask for advices ;)
