Holy Trinity Church - last from the digital darkroom
This is the last of the shots taken at Holy Trinity Church, Buckfastleigh, Devon.
In this shot, given that it's all about a church and cemetery, I wanted to include an obvious religious icon and turn the viewer's thoughts to reflection on their own mortality.
When all is said and done and your life has run its course, what will your legacy beāother than bones and a tombstone?
As always, comments / thoughts / critiques welcome :)

The dark cross is a great contrast to the light church steeple - excellent photo!
Ominous was my first thought - that big black cross. Great shot, though.
This is a true stunner to me!!
Mono when it is the best!!
The big black cross - impressive.
Do not hide death!
I have taken lots of B&W- photographs to take a stand for this and wrote about it too.
It is important!
Have a great weekend!
And continue your excellent work!

Thanks for the feedback folks.
@Roger: yes, I was also trying to nod in the direction of light / shadow in a faith sort of way.
@Maisy - I like the word "ominous", lovely ring to it. Did you notice the three (i.e. trinity) of crosses?
@Anna: I had a look at some of what you've written and you have some interesting thoughts. I liked what you said about avoiding death by changing cars. That made me laugh :)
Always a great shot here, love the photo in B/W - gives such more feelings to it.
As to your question - If ive made a few people happy and caused a smile or 2, as my Spirit flies free.

Interesting contrast; light / life, dark / death.
Thanks for your message! I do like B&W photography, and am still trying to learn more about it. Great blog you have here, and great photos! Will be checking back for updates!
