Last of the Pomeranian shots
I finally found some time to process the last of the successful shots taken the other day of a friends' pomeranians.
Quite interesting to watch her chasing them and nipping their ankles, something to do with herding instincts being encouraged with practical demonstrations, I think.
This was taken during a lull in training. I'm not sure where Willow was but here's Hamish saying something like "Come on mum, that was great fun, let's play some more!".
It would have been even better if I'd got more of Bonnie's head in the shot but they were hard at it again before I could recompose. That said, I do like the softness in the image of Hamish and the way Bonnie's coat came out.

This site has really grabbed my interest. B and W photography is too much neglected.

...interesting shot. I love how you catch the moment--and black and white makes it more interesting. For some reason it seems my brain has to work a bit harder to decode black and white, which makes me think--maybe that is what adds to the interest--I don't know!!!

& Kelly Maybe it's an analogy too far, but to me a lot of colour work is like candy, whereas a good b&w is like a meal.
In my own learning journey I can see the various influencing elements of a shot so much more easily in b&w. And in being able to see them so clearly, it's much easier to learn how they interact and contribute to a shot.
Or maybe it's just me ;)
