Boot Revisited

I spotted this boot as I was leaving Mans's workshop. It reminded me of one of the 'de-rigeur' sketches that we all did at school - you know, using a range of pencils from 2B to 6B - so I thought I'd have a crack at a mono shot of it.

I liked the way the sunlight picked out the toe and the heel - especially around the weeds growing in the "lee" of the boot. I did a little dodging and burning to accentuate the highlights and applied a bit of a vignette.

I was a bit constrained as to the point of view - I didn't want to get in the way of the light - but overall I'm pleased with the result.
